

RWC is a department in the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services. The RWC, funded by Student Government Association, is persistent in making efforts towards being accessible for all abilities. Upon beginning the program, each student will receive individualized attention in achieving their fitness goals. This program is designed to support students with disabilities in creating and maintaining an exercise plan. Student Assisted Workout Program: The center partners with UCF students enrolled in the Doctorate in Physical Therapy program to provide assisted workouts. The center offers wheelchair basketball, goalball, swim lessons and student assisted workout program. The staff is continuously searching for new equipment and developing recreational programs that create an inclusive environment. The RWC values the provision of quality programs and services that are accessible to the UCF community. It will be an awesome opportunity for all to see how recreational activities can be adapted so that everyone can participate.” This event is the first of its kind at the Rec Center and we are hopeful that it will bring in students of all abilities. Off-campus activities have included paintball, hiking, water biking, stand-up paddleboarding, as well as sea and moonlight kayaking. UT has intramural sports for flag football, softball, basketball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball and more. On average, students make up over 350 different organized intramural teams throughout the year, participating in nearly 1,000 games. The Office of Campus Recreation offers hundreds of organized activities in intramural sports, fitness, club sports and informal recreation, both on and off campus.
